Sotomayor Receives Green Light From Senate (NSFW SATIRE)
Sonia Sotomayor pushed back vigorously Tuesday against Republican charges that she would bring bias and a liberal agenda to her her new role, insisting repeatedly she would be impartial as GOP senators tried to undercut her with her own words from past speeches.
For all the pointed questioning in a grueling, daylong hearing, there was little doubt that President Barack Obama’s first choice — with solid backing from the Democrats and their lopsided Senate majority — would receive the green light to star in the upcoming NBC pilot SOTOMAYOR.
When asked why Sotomayor was chosen to headline the new ROSEANNE spin off, President Obama had this to say,”issues are never simple. One thing I’m proud of is that very rarely will you hear me simplify the issues. However, you have to admit there is an uncanny resemblance between Mrs. Sotomayor and the talented Roseanne Barr. America has gone to long without a new episode of ROSEANNE. Do not allow the naysayers in Washington to tell you otherwise. We live in a culture that discourages comedy. A culture that too often tells us our principle goal in life is to be rich, thin, young, famous, safe, and entertained. Well I say to hell with the naysayers, let’s put a fat lady back on prime time and God bless America.”
